Atiu, traditionally known as Enuamanu (the land of the birds), is the third largest island in the Cook Islands. Its spectacular ecosystem boasts fringed coral coastlines, with secluded beach coves, and dense tropical rainforests with hidden caves. Atiu is well known for the Atiu Tumunu, a two century old tradition where the local men would gather to enjoy a fruit based alcoholic local brew. The island is also home to the Kopeka Bird or Atiu Swiftlet, endemic to Atiu.
As one of the few untouched places left in the world, visitors to Atiu will gain a genuine insight into island living in this eco-lovers paradise!
